It’s unseasonably hot - it’s unreasonably cold.
I’m unreasonably happy or so it seems that I’ve been told
by my unreasonable doc - I’ve decided that he’s ill
cause he can’t seem to stop prescribing jolly happy pills.
Now I’m unreasonably sad - being an unreasonable pain.
It’s been unseasonably sunny - but now it’s snowing again.
I’m like a yo-yo-yo on the end of a spring
pressing start to stop - pressing stop to begin.

I scrape barrels for a living and receive a dying wage.
My wallet’s full of giving but my heart is full of rage.
I’m a recipe for disaster - I’m brewing up a storm,
I’m cooking up some cold hearts and they’re unseasonably warm
so for now I’ll keep on trying - for now I’ll try and get some sleep,
for now I’ll stop pretending that everything I feel is deep
‘cause I’m unreasonably hot and it’s unseasonably cold
and I’m unreasonably worried about the things I can’t control.

And my mind just keeps on racing from the hell-hole to the bliss.
They tell me I should try pacing - are they taking the piss?
Who in their right mind would see a psychiatrist?
If my head wasn’t so screwed up - it would explode like this…
I’ll keep my hands over my ears till the voices are all gone.
I hear the seconds on my watch - they sound like a ticking bomb.
So I’m gonna steal some time cause it really does fly
on the wings of a dove - jolly happy am I.
